Train to end dog fighting

I volunteer with Pit Bull Training Team of Chicago by making portraits for PR use of the participants and their dogs. The program provides young people with an alternative to dog fighting. Most of the Pit Bull Training Team's participants live in an environment in which people are desensitized to violence and dog fighting is the norm.

What I saw going on in class was truly amazing. Big dudes with gang tattoos just learning to shower their animals with affection. It's not easy for them to do, and it's mind-blowing to see what happens.

A freshly minted campaign.

Q: They're quite small, come in a neat, snap-closed tin and pack a fiery punch?

A: I just had the distinct pleasure of working again with, Liz Miller-Gershfeld, Sr. Art Buyer at Energy BBDO while shooting the new Altoids Smalls print campaign. I'm honored to have been chosen to shoot the ads considering the legacy of the brand's brilliant creative.
Along with Liz, I worked closely with Art Director, Derrick Ho for who's fun ideas I put pixel to paper.

PS. This job had me buying the second wig within a week.
Cheers!

Taxi Site of the Day

Hi. My website is honored today, and today only on the Taxi Design Network as Taxi Site of the Day.
They say its, "Surprising, and peppered with black humor". ;)

Hold the frog.

Today's shoot was for Dolce Strings, an all girl string quartet. You can hire them for your wedding, funeral or awkward corporate event. Our location was the wonderfully old fashioned, Blackstone Hotel. Additionally, I learned that when handling a bow to grab it by the "frog" and mind the hairs.

New shoots and New Projects

As we're all too aware of the huge challenges America faces today, I've been blessed to be busy lately. Recent projects include shooting print campaigns for Altoids, Coca~Cola, and Allergan pharmaceuticals. These have been with the shops, Energy BBDO, Abelson Taylor, and Fitzgerald and Company.
Upcoming is Chicago Magazine, an all girl string quartet, dog fighting rehabilitation, and a picture about a fat boy who's parents kill each other on his 7th birthday.

Atlanta on my mind.

I'm shipping out this week for four days to shoot in Atlanta (where my Pappy was born and started his dry cleaning business). I'm psyched to be working again with the local shop, Fitzgerald and Company on a sleepless, sugar induced, psudo-drugged out campaign. Find it back here once the magic is done.
